Baroque church-clock

The clock has served the inhabitants of the town for more than 200 years on the towers of Maria Magdalen Parish-Church. The renewed works of clock has been displayed in a glass-cage, where its operation can be seen, too.

In the square in front of the Sándor Hevesi Theatre a real speciality can be found, a ‘tower-clock going on the ground’. The erection works of the tower-clock of Mary Magdalen Church finished in September 2005. The nearly 200-year-old clockwork is displayed in operation under a glass cover, which makes it unique in the whole of Europe.
